October 2012 Mission Areas (Council) Minutes
- Council spent the morning in a joint session of the Meeting of Elected Bodies —including Commission on Ministry, Standing Committee and Trustees
- Council convened in the afternoon to approve the agenda, June 2012 minutes, election of Council Officers; and then broke into committees (Mission, Ministry and Management)
- Council re-convened for Committee reports and business, which included several resolutions (Church Pension Fund, Church Medical Trust and
Denominational Medical Health Plan; Safe Church Training manual update; Finance & Audit Committee membership appointments; Bishop’s auto)
March 2012 Council Minutes
- Council spent the morning in a joint session of the Meeting of Elected Bodies —including Commission on Ministry, Standing Committee and Trustees
- The focus of the morning session was the work of Mission Project 2012 across the Episcopal Church in Minnesota (ECMN)
- Trinity, Excelsior and St. Peter’s, Kasson keynoted the ministry of housing the homeless (Trinity: White Earth Build) and feeding the hungry (St. Peter’s:weekly meal for the poor)
- The three elected bodies worked among themselves in how to resource faith communities as they engage Mission Project 2012; ideas were shared among the body
- Council convened in the afternoon to approve the agenda, December 2012 minutes, and then broke into committees (Mission, Ministry and Management)
- Council re-convened for Committee reports, noting no major motions or actions from the floor
