What: A two hour trek to school and two more hours walking home keeps the children in the mountains of Ecuador from regularly attending school. The St. Stephen’s group will be helping Jardin del Eden build a community center in Pujili so students can live there during the school week and go home on weekends. Participants will work side by side with some of the kids from the school who will also be helping build their own community center.

Activities: During the group’s stay two days will be available to enjoy and explore the parts of this beautiful country. Activities will include a day spent in Banos, a resort area on the side of a volcano,  the rain forest, waterfalls and the spectacular scenery while taking an Arial cable car across Bridal Falls. There will also be time to shop at the market for Ecuadorian souvenirs such as sweaters, leather and wood carvings. One day at the end of the trip will be set aside to explore the city of Quito, a world heritage city.
