5th Annual Community Silent and Live Auction St. Nicholas Church
Ahoy Matey! Avast, me hearties! The St. Nicholas Auction has a Pirate theme this year. Pirates generally are a dirty, smelly, murderous bunch of thieves. But honestly, don’t they pique our sense of adventure and make our blood run a little hotter? If you are in the mood for some swashbuckling and carousing and especially want to collect a little loot, circle Saturday, November 4th on your calendar and find your treasure at the Pirates’ Hideaway at St. Nicholas Church.
Once again, we’ve raided our generous parishioners, community businesses, and friends to collect lots of valuables and booty for you to bid on including dinner parties, theater tickets, volunteer services, holiday items, cooking classes, gift cards, knitted/ sewn/ and craft items, baked goods, jewelry, framed and unframed artwork and photographs, themed gift baskets, vintage bric-a-brac, small furniture pieces, and much more.
Every year, some of our cargo goes to a lucky bidder for a real “steal.” You can preview a nearly complete list of auction items on the St. Nicholas Website one week prior to the event.
Also check out the St. Nicholas Facebook page. Bidding on Silent Auction items will open at 6:30PM and close at 7:45PM sharp. The Live Auction begins at 8:15 PM. Bring your cash, checkbook or credit card so you are ready to plunder and conquer our cache.
This year, you are also invited to bring a nonperishable item to donate to VEAP. We look forward to seeing all of our neighbors, friends, and families once again at this very popular, annual community event. Auction proceeds support St. Nick’s ministries. Landlubbers welcome!
