An Evening of Original Music with Dr. Chris Granias – A Benefit for the National MS Society
Dr. Chris J. Granias received his doctorate in Theory and Composition from the University of Minnesota, a masters in Piano Performance from Northwestern University, and a masters in Composition from Drake University.
A native of Chicago, Illinois, “Dr. G.” as he is affectionately known, has been teaching for nearly 40 years and has served on the music faculties of the University of Min-nesota, Eastern Illinois University, St. John’s University, Concordia University – St. Paul, The Perpich Center for Arts Education, and the MacPhail Center for Music. Dr. Granias was also a charter member of the American Composers Fo-rum’s Education Committee, and a roster member of the Minnesota State Arts Board. Chris has been living with MS since being diagnosed in 2003.
