Children, Youth & Camp Ministries
ECMN has opportunities for youth of all ages to engage at faith communities and across the state throughout the year. Contact Sarah Barnett at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Support Children and Youth Ministry in ECMN
We invite you to celebrate all the amazing opportunities for young people here in ECMN at your faith community on Youth Sunday, which is May 19th. For ideas on how to do this, click here.
You can also support these expanding ministries by donating to the Youth Scholarship Fund. Click here to learn more.
NEW! ECMN is now using an online registration platform for all retreats and camps. From either a family or an individual account, all information will be transferable between events for a simpler process. Additionally, churches will be able to send scholarships directly to their kids!
Peer Ministry Training
Teens in Grades 9-12 will develop leadership skills to: welcome outsiders, put faith into action, learn to really listen, reach out to those in trouble, build healthy relationships, know when and where to ask for help. It’s taught by existing Peer Ministers and includes a fun evening out with dinner, pool, sledding, skating, and a bonfire. Register here. View flyer here.
Teens Encounter Christ (TEC) Retreats
TEC stands for Teens Encountering Christ. TEC events are for high school aged youth, are led and planned by past participants, and provide a mix of community building, faith building and character building experiences. You get to be connected with other youth across the state - building life long friendships that help you learn and grow. Below, find links to upcoming TEC events. For more information, dates and registration for Pre-TEC and TEC events, click here!
Pre-TEC Grades 6-8
Pre-TEC events are for middle school students. They follow a similar format as TEC and act as an introductory experience for TEC events in high school. Here's a video and some pictures from previous Pre-TEC events!
MN TEC for Grades 9-12
TEC is an overnight retreat that empowers teens to integrate the joys, struggles, and epiphanies of their daily lives with the mystery of our shared Christian Faith. Here is a MN TEC #2 recap!

Ma Wa Disi Daa
"Ma Wa Disi Daa" means "visit" in Ojibwe. This trip is all about visiting and building relationships with our Episcopal family in the White Earth and Cass Lake areas. We eat together, help out with any needed projects, and share our stories with one another. Several youth groups have joined together for this trip since 2011. The youth are empowered to shop, cook, and do most of the planning. Any youth group is welcome to join. For more information contact Stacey Olson (email@example.com) or Sarah Barnett (firstname.lastname@example.org). Dates for 2019 are July 25-29.
Rosebud Episcopal Mission
For the past 5-6 summers, a few Episcopal Youth Groups have joined together to build relationships and serve with the people living on the Rosebud Reservation. Click here for a video from 2015 that explains more about the experience. Any youth group is welcome to join. For more information contact Sheila Foster (email@example.com) or Sarah Barnett (firstname.lastname@example.org). Dates for 2019 are June 16-22, click here to register.
