2016 Convention Re-Cap

Hearing our Stories, Healing Relationships:

Engaging in God's Mission of Racial Reconciliation

The 159th Convention took place on September 16th and 17th at Shattuck - St. Mary's in Faribault, Minnesota. At Convention we listened to God’s invitation for us to step prayerfully into a journey towards racial reconciliation with one another.  We learned the technique of storytelling to cultivate transformative conversations that can lead to change in our hearts and in our minds. We were sent out from Convention back to our faith communities with this technique and additional resources to continue this work. It’s our hope that these conversations lead us, prayerfully and humbly, into action around the issue of racial reconciliation throughout the year.
