Trinity, Anoka is on the Move!

For the past few years Trinity Anoka, established in1858 (the same year as the State of Minnesota!), has been discerning its future. We have been in our current building since 1965, when the baby boom filled our Sunday school rooms. The sanctuary was built to hold 300!  Like many other churches our church has downsized, and maintaining our building became more of burden than we could bare. In 2026 we started seeking a space to rent for worship service. We found a viable space, right across the street from our church!  We have worshipped weekly at the Anoka Senior Center for 6+ months now. Being in a new space has brought new energy and enthusiasm among members as we set up for services, conduct services in a smaller, more intimate space, are freed from caring from a large building, and continue our highly valued coffee hour. And our new worship space has windows which look out on our neighbors!  The City of Anoka has been an agreeable partner in making this a workable solution for what we need right now:  a place to land as a congregation, outside our old building, while we discern what God has in store for us in Anoka. Sorting out our essential belongings, and what items we can part with has been a task, but we have been able to bless many groups and individuals with items we no longer need.   It has brought us joy to know these items will find purpose in someone else's care. We have held monthly outdoor services in the park adjacent to our current worship space. We welcome you to join us for a Sunday service, or to check out our services on YouTube.  Just go to our church webpage and click on the YouTube link.

Faithful innovation is happening in Anoka, with our plans to take Morning Prayer out to a local coffee shop, provide hospitality at the community concerts, and bless our neighborhood pet friends. We continue to use our newfound energy to find ways to be faithful hands for God's plan in our community.
