Deputies' Report: Day 1

Deputies' Report: Day 1

Friends,

Today was the first day of the 80th General Convention of the Episcopal Church and the deputies and bishops spent today, in the Rev. Margaret Thor's words, "working together to be one church." Please see below for a video reflection from Margaret on Day 1 of GC80.

Minnie Steele, one of ECMN's deputies, rose to speak in support of Resolution A127, Resolution for Telling the Truth about The Episcopal Church's History with Indigenous Boarding Schools, with the rest of ECMN's deputation standing with her.

Members of the deputation also handed out campaign literature in support of the Rev. Devon Anderson's bid to serve as the next President of the House of Deputies. That election is scheduled to take place tomorrow. Please pray for the Holy Spirit's guidance in that important moment for the future of the Episcopal Church and in the life of our sister Devon.
