Episcopal Youth Event
January 4th deadline to apply!
(Additional spots available until the event reaches capacity)
What is EYE? EYE is a real experience of our international Episcopal Church. It is the second largest event and the single largest youth event with a typical attendance of over 1200 young people, adult sponsors, bishops, staff, and guests. EYE is a once in a lifetime opportunity for high school students, occurring once every three years.
When is EYE? EYE will be held July 7-11, 2020 at the University of Maryland, College Park. We will travel by airplane, leaving in the morning on Tuesday, July 7 and returning mid-day on Saturday, July 11.
What is the 2020 EYE Theme? The youth planning team has discerned the theme for EYE20 as “Unite! ¡Unámonos!” “It was a blessing to sit with this Team of young people as they engaged and contextualized the guiding Scripture for EYE20, Matthew 11:29,” said the Rev. Abi Moon, EYE20 Team Chaplain. “Recognizing that we are ‘yoked together’ as a community through God’s mercy and grace, the Planning Team discerned a call to action for all EYE20 participants and those who will journey alongside them to unite as people of the Jesus Movement following the Way of Love.”
Cost/Transportation:$950 a person. $400 is the registration payment to EYE including: lodging, meals, mid-week transportation, t-shirts and other costs. $550 includes the cost of roundtrip airfare and 4 meals while traveling. Scholarship assistance is available in partnership with your sending parish.
Requirements to attend EYE 2020: You must be in Grades 9-12 in the 2019 – 2020 academic year and Age 15 by July 7, 2020. You must be active in a congregation.
