Renewing Clergy Identity

Mt. Olivet Conference and Retreat Center

November 10 | 3pm-8:30pm

November 11 | 9am-8:30pm

November 12 | 9am-1pm

Join other clergy colleagues from ECMN and participate in a year-long learning community around renewing clergy identity and collaborative leadership.

Led by facilitators the Rev. Dr. Dwight Zscheile (author, Episcopal priest, and professor of congregational mission and leadership at Luther Seminary) and the Rev. Clara King (priest in the Anglican Church of Canada, experienced trainer and consultant, and Ph.D. candidate), we will explore some of the deeper dynamics affecting priestly ministry today, renew our spiritual and theological grounding, and explore how to cultivate deeper collaboration with lay leaders.

As a participant, you'll have the chance to:

  • Enter into a candid and creative space where we will hold each other's questions and dilemmas in a supportive environment
  • Think theologically and spiritually about your own leadership, identity, and practice
  • Explore expectations from yourself and others that help or hinder your leadership
  • Consider sustainable ways of doing ministry that affirm the distinct callings of clergy while strengthening lay leadership
