Bishop’s Residency, NW Mission Area (August 10-14)

Every year Bishop Loya spends one week in one of the non-metro Mission Areas of ECMN. His 2025 Residency will be in the Northwest Mission Area August 10 – August 14. A list of the congregations which he will be visiting during this residency are:

Sunday, August 10 | Emmanuel, Alexandria

Monday, August 11 | St. James, Fergus Falls

Tuesday, August 12 | St. Luke's, Detroit Lakes

Wednesday, August 13 | St. Peter's, Warroad

Thursday, August 14 | St. Columba's, White Earth

Other Missioner’s from ECMN staff will be visiting various other congregations during this residency period and have contacted those congregations already or will be shortly.

As part of Bishop Loya’s residency this year we will have a get together for the whole Mission Area and this year’s get together will celebrate the 150th Anniversary of St. Luke’s in Detroit Lakes with a Red Lake Eucharist and frybread dinner to follow.

Gatherings Schedule at St. Luke's, Detroit Lakes for August 12

9am-12pm: Clergy Retreat (lunch will be provided)

All clergy intending to attend please register for the retreat here. After the retreat there will be an opportunity for clergy to meet with Bishop Loya one-on-one if they desire. Please reach out to Jessica Ricardo at

jessica.r@episcopalmn.org by Monday July 28 if you like to meet with the

Bishop and she will work with you to schedule your one on one.

(Please note: Individual meeting requests after July 28 may not be possible to accommodate.) There will also be suggested activities for those who plan to stay for the evening celebration of St. Luke’s 150th Anniversary.

5:30pm: Celebration of St. Luke's 150th Anniversary

Everyone is invited to join with the good people of St. Luke’s for a celebration of their 150th Anniversary with a Red Lake Eucharist at 5:30 pm and Frybread Taco Diner following.
