Central & West Metro Mission Area Gathering

Central & West Metro Mission Area Gathering

-

All Episcopalians are invited and encouraged to attend spring mission area gatherings around the state. Mission Areas are clusters of congregations that are geographically close to one another. You can find out which mission area your faith community is connected to by clicking here.

We gather in mission areas each spring across the diocese to meet one another, pray together, share stories, and hear from the Bishop. These gatherings will connect us as one church in many places across the diocese, inviting us into deep conversation and sharing.

Mission Area Team Application

At Convention in November 2024, a Canonical change was passed that reshaped the Council and Mission Area Team structure. It decreased the size of the Council and disconnected the responsibilities of Council members from the governance and organization of the Mission Areas, which had previously been part of their role.

After officially electing Council members to this newly configured body this Fall, each Mission Area will now, in the Spring, elect their Mission Area Teams, whose responsibilities focus on building connections and communication between faith communities in their mission area, and are outlined in Canon 223, beginning on page 29.

Mission Area Team members will be elected to represent mission areas at their mission area gatherings this spring. Apply here.
