ECMN Convention

ECMN Convention

-

After a long and difficult year apart from one another, we are eager to gather again in the flesh in November for our Episcopal Church in Minnesota "family reunion." However, due to the delta variant, in-person attendance will be limited to clergy and lay delegates. Vaccination is required.

During our time together, we’ll take care of canonical business, including electing members to our governing bodies, considering resolutions, and reviewing the financial statement of mission. We’ll hear stories from across the diocese and, most importantly, we’ll reacquaint ourselves with who we are as the people of the Episcopal Church in Minnesota.

Many portions of Convention will be available online for members of the diocese who cannot attend in person. More details to come.

COVID 19: Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, only clergy and lay delegates may attend convention in person. Vaccination is required for all those attending convention. Any delegate who is medically eligible but chooses not to be vaccinated should appoint an alternate delegate who is vaccinated. Any delegate not medically eligible to be vaccinated should contact Secretary of Convention Karen Olson directly about accommodation. A vaccination verification process is in development. Stay tuned for more details about this.

Electronic Voting: You will be asked to bring a device (i.e. tablet, smartphone, laptop, iPad) with you to Convention for electronic voting. If you do not have a device, please work with those in your faith community to identify one you may use during convention. If you are not able to find one, please reach out to us at info@episcopalmn.org. For voting purposes, you will need a unique email address; you cannot share an email address with another person who is voting at Convention.

The Logistics:

Please be sure to attend your Mission Area Gathering to learn about the Financial Statement of Mission we'll be voting on at Convention. Find those dates here.

Registration is now open for lay and clergy delegates.
