Wow! How do we get in on this?

  1. Register online now for the meeting.

  2. Forward this invitation to others in your faith community to join you. Encourage them to register.

  3. With your teammates, prepare a SINGLE PowerPoint, Google Slides, or Apple Keynote slide, with one or more images that help illustrate your faith community’s story. If you have pictures but need help with slide production, email the team: westmetro@episcopalmn.org

  4. Plan your story: 3-5 minutes maximum. Focus on the most important or unique thing you would like Bishop-Elect Loya to understand and remember about your community. Pick a spokesperson to tell that story.

  5. Does your team have key questions to ask? Select the top one or two.

By Sunday night, May 3, email the following to westmetro@episcopalmn.org:

  • Your PowerPoint slide
  • The name and email of your spokesperson
  • One or two key questions, issues, or ideas you’d like Bishop-Elect Loya to respond to.

We hope that every faith community in the West Metro Area can be represented at this important meeting. Registrants will receive a reminder—along with Zoom meeting information—about a week prior to the event. Please contact us with any questions or concerns.

In God’s love,

The West Metro Area Team westmetro@episcopalmn.org

Tom Boe, St. George’s, St. Louis Park

Fr. Rob Cavanna, Holy Trinity, Elk River

The Rev. Phil Boelter, Trinity, Anoka

What Are Mission Areas?

Faith communities in the state are connected to one another via Mission Areas. Mission Areas are groupings of 10-15 faith communities that share geographic proximity.

Why are Mission Areas important? Because we don’t do this work of ministry and mission in isolation. By connecting with those around us, we can learn from each other, share resources, and problem-solve together. We can build relationships and have conversations about what ministry looks like in our neck of the woods.

Each Mission Area has at least one in-person gathering annually to build relationships. Check back as the date approaches for details about this event.

Your Mission Area Team can update you about those gatherings. Contact them by emailing: westmetrot@episcopalmn.org.
